Internode is now offering 3G mobile broadband via the Optus network. View plans here

Internode will have a 250MB download limit for $14.95 a month and a 3GB plan for $39.95 a month, although unlike Internode fixed plans, the usage includes up- and downstream and there is no shaping.

Customers already with Internode customers will receive a free USB modem when they sign up for a 24-month contract. A mobile wireless sim is also available for $25. Data blocks can be purchased at $10 for 250MB, $20 for 500MB and $40 for 1GB.

Internode product manager Jim Kellet beleives that the Optus coverage and their willingness to provide a technical solution which would use Internode’s network where what swayed them to go with the Optus network.

Westnet also launched their wireless mobile broadband solution this month.
